Gabi Chavarria

Licensed Professional Counselor

Meet Gabi

Gabi is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and families. She holds an M.A. in Child and Adolescent Psychology: Prevention & Treatment from the University of Washington and has served in outpatient, medical, school, home, and community-based settings.

Gabi specializes in evidence-based CBT frameworks to support clients navigating behavioral and emotional challenges, mood and personality disorders, childhood trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD. She is passionate about walking alongside those facing systemic barriers and is deeply committed to creating safe, affirming spaces for historically marginalized communities—including LGBTQIA+ youth, neurodivergent individuals, and families of diverse cultural identities.

Warm, collaborative, and equity-centered, Gabi believes healing happens through connection and authenticity. Her approach honors each client’s lived experience while empowering them to build self-understanding, resilience, and hope. At The People Place, Gabi embodies the belief that you belong here, and your story matters.

“Your story, your culture, and your truth matter here. Together, we’ll find strength in your authenticity.”
