Meet Corretta

Corretta Woodard, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of relationships. She is trained in EMDR and is currently advancing her work as a sex therapist, bringing a trauma-informed and emotionally attuned approach to relational healing.

Corretta specializes in relational therapy, supporting clients in strengthening and repairing the connections that shape their lives, including marriages, parent-child dynamics, friendships, and their relationship with themselves. She believes that our relationships are often where we experience the deepest wounds and also where the most meaningful healing can happen.

While grounded in clinical expertise, Corretta’s approach goes beyond theory. She meets clients as a real person first, drawing from both professional training and lived experience to create a space that feels safe, honest, and deeply human. Her work is centered on helping people communicate more effectively, rebuild trust, navigate conflict, and show up more fully in their relationships.

Now serving part-time at The People Place Counseling Center, Corretta continues to do the work she loves, walking with people as they heal, grow, and reconnect. For her, therapy is not just what she does, it is who she is, and that is why it never feels like work.
