Mali Sirisena, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Meet Mali
As a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to providing comprehensive, client-centered care to individuals struggling with mental health conditions. With a strong foundation in both nursing and psychiatry, I specialize in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma and psychotic illnesses.
My approach to care is holistic, combining evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each client’s unique experiences and needs when it comes to psychiatric medications. I prioritize open communication, active listening, and collaborative treatment planning, working alongside clients and their families to help improve mental well-being and quality of life.
My education preparation includes BSN from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and MSN from Chamberlain University in Illinois, and I am board-certified as a PMHNP-BC by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I have had the privilege of working in various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and community health organizations, where I have gained valuable experience.
Above all, I am passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and improving access to high-quality care for underserved populations. Through compassionate care, education, and advocacy, I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by mental health challenges.
